Lavenders are so easy to grow! Do they need fertilizing?
Of course, all of these lovely plants like to be fertilized, just maybe not too often. It's important to remember that too much fertilizer can actually be harmful. It can cause the plant to grow too much foliage, which can prevent flowers from forming and even kill the plant.
It's always a good idea to remember that chemical fertilizers can sometimes harm our precious lavender plants, especially if they're applied in late summer or fall. I just wanted to give you a little heads-up. Sometimes, fertilizers that are too high in nitrogen can cause lavender plants to grow too many leaves and not flower. I know it can be tricky to keep track of all the little details when you're trying to care for your plants. Just remember, don't overdo it! We've all been there, and we know how it goes.
